Crisis of Character: A White House Secret Service Officer Discloses His Firsthand Experience with Hillary, Bill, and How They Operate
This was a book that I was very much looking forward to reading given the climate of the political race we are right in the middle of. It's no secret that I have a lot of disdain for the Clinton's and this was the book that would reveal everything from firsthand knowledge. Yes and no. The first half of the book does go into detail about Gary J. Byrne's time as a Secret Service agent assigned to protect the President and how he had a front row seat to most...if not all the dirty deeds and whatnot. There are some enlightening things I had never heard of, but the juicy tidbits that most people are reading this book for were already discussed on various talk shows when he was making the rounds promoting the book. The second half of the book deals mainly with his time as an instructor and an Air Marshall and doesn't really keep me engage. Even though this was a decent read, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
