Is it even confirmed that this is the ONLY San Diego location that is having a book signing? Maybe he is doing another one in say Del Mar the day before?

Like I said, you attend one of them, it's a KISS Concert.  ;D If you go to all 3, you would still be lagging behind me.  ;)

Here's a thought that just popped into my head. When it comes time for Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer to write their own Autobiographies, do they use the Catman and Spaceman makeup on the book jacket the same way Gene, Paul Peter and Ace have done on theirs? Would Gene and Paul even allow this if the band is no longer together and touring? Now if both wrote their books while the current lineup existed and were still working together, I would definitely seen Gene and Paul allowing this to happen. But if their books came after the desolation of the band (where they don't actually carry on without Gene and Paul), I suspect that they would in fact bar Eric and Tommy from using their respective persona's. Vinnie Vincent owns his Anhk Warrior makeup (or so he says), so I can see him definitely using that on the cover for sure. Of all the replacement members, Eric Carr is the only one to have a book out and ironically enough, the one that wasn't allowed to use the Fox Makeup. Whether Gene, Paul or Vinnie owns the character, someone didn't allow Eric's family to use it, which sucks.

interesting thought.....They don't own the make up so my thought is no.  They probably won't be on the cover as the Spaceman and Catman.

dude you should throw that out over at KISS FAQ...they would go to war over that topic.

would be amazing to watch actually....you drop the match...and watch the fireworks begin as KISS fans new and old war over the age old question.

hahaha

:)

I closed my account over there a long time ago. At least I think I did. I wasn't on there for very long before bailing. I would rather spend my time hanging out at Ed Kanon's FAQ site instead.

I seriously think that's an interesting thing/.

I would pretty much guarantee they would be able to inside use pics of themselves in the make up....but yeah the cover is a big x-factor.

I wonder if they have a deal where they can't write a book for like 10 years or something after the band ends.

I could see some random sh*t like that also placed upon them...or maybe no book at all?

I really do want to get an Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer book in the future. They all play nice right now because they have to. Gene and Paul spin a lot of things to THEIR advantage and based on their history, outright lie about sh*t because they still want that payday and nothing drives people away if there is disharmony in a band. I for one don't buy, nor have ever bought the idea that the four of them are "buddies" as they make it out to be. Sure, they may get along. But I can tell you that they have their issues with each other just like everyone else on the planet and that's why I look forward to reading what has really gone down for both since joining the band. They may in fact have a non-disclosure contract that they can't write a book for X Amount of years when they talk about their time in KISS. So, expect 2 books each from Eric and Tommy. The first book will be co-written by Gene and Paul, and say it was "written by" Eric and Tommy for their respective books. The second book will actually be written by Eric and Tommy and tell it like it is.

I've said forever Eric might have the best inside track on KISS...kicked out 3 times?

I am sure he sits in and does his sh*t with a smile on his face as he collects his checks....but you never know how he really feels.

also it might look bad for him to go..."yeah you know I sacrificed my best years to basically make money and put my musicianship on hold to please KISS fans"

not sure he'd have the balls to admit it...but I don't think he's all that proud of what he's "accomplished" in KISS other than the checks.
