I wish I did. It was so long ago, back in the day when I didn't even think about taking pics.

J. Scott Campbell

As it gets closer and closer to Comic Con, I've been wondering why Campbell has been so quiet. He usually releases teases of what's in store by this time and so far....nothing. I don't get updates anymore. Not sure if he even post to DeviantArt anymore. So, I had to check over on his Facebook. Still no "new" stuff that's coming. But I did check out his photo gallery and saw these 3 images from Game of Thrones and Mad Men. You may have already been aware of them. But to me, they are new. Enjoy. I would love to see Campbell put together a Hardcover book of nothing but his Celeb Caricatures that he has done over the years.

Marco D'Alfonso

What if Rockwell illustrated Resident Evil, Captain America, Optimus Prime?

Quote
Canadian freelance illustrator and multimedia designer Marco D'Alfonso imagines what Norman Rockwell's take would have been on modern heroes in this trio of amazing faux Saturday Evening Post covers.

My favorite among the bunch has to be his take on Resident Evil 3 and the gear all video game characters seem to haul around. The print, below, will be part of the 8_bit & Beyond 2 art show opening Aug. 8 at Bottleneck Gallery in Brooklyn. (Inspired by Rockwell's "Liberty Girl.")

Quote
Then there's this amazing Captain America, Rockwell crossover inspired by "The Doughboy and his admirers."

Quote
And finally there's D'Alfonso's tribute to Rockwell's "The Tattooist", which features an artist decking out Optimus Prime's shoulder with flames.

Quote
If you like what you see, you should hop over to D'Alfsonso's website to see a whole lot more and the chance to buy a few of them.

Awesome find Mac! I love it. I like 'What ifs' scenarios like these. He can definitely hold his own against other high caliber artist out there.

Simply.....awesome. I rather get a random caricature anywhere but an amusement park. Think about it, you go to an amusement park and get one, there is no story behind. You get one at some random location, completely unaware and you have a story to tell for the rest of your life. Another thing that I found very fascinating is that this artist, without really saying one word is bonding complete strangers through art. Everyone wants to see what the other persons canvas looks like. One last thing, this is really a great way to make quick cash. He doesn't ask for money. He's just drawing for the love of it and gives the art away. But once the recipient sees it, they are compelled to tip, even if they had no intention of doing so. I really wish the guy that video taped this would have posted info about the artist. At least give us his name so that we can search out his stuff online.

Gediminas Pranckevicius Surreal Worlds Digitally Paintings

Conceptual artist and illustrator Gediminas Pranckevicius posesses an imagination to covet. While most of his digital painting is centered around character design, his larger landscapes seen here are rich in detail, creating impossible but ingenious juxtapositions of water, land, and haphazard architecture. You can see more of his work over on Facebook, and all of these are available as prints via INPRNT.

Brian Dettmer Book Surgeon

Brian Dettmer, a New York-based artist known as the Book Surgeon, uses tweezers, knives, scalpels and other surgical tools to dissect and carve old books into intricate and beautiful sculptures.

Dettmer’s work has a sort of vintage touch to it because he uses old books – maps, encyclopedias, textbooks, manuals, and any other sort of literature that he can turn into an interesting piece of art.

Although his creative process does end up destroying (or adding to, depending on how you look at it) someone else’s creation, Dettmer has a different take on it; “My work is a collaboration with the existing material and its past creators and the completed pieces expose new relationships of the book’s internal elements exactly where they have been since their original conception.”

Just saw an article on Abduzedoo showcasing the exquisite illustrations of Nick Runge.  Check these beauties out.

The latest by Lau, aka Artgerm, just blows me away, especially the Black Widow piece. He never fails to impress me. Just....WOW!

Dustin Weaver

How bad ass is Dustin's art? Reminds me a lot of Travis Charest stuff.

The Lau stuff is very reminiscent of Frank Frazetta, who I've looked at from my earliest memories. No problem of keeping that style alive. Keep it it up dude.
