"Heroes & Villains: The Comic Book Art of Alex Ross"

Great little mini doc one Alex Ross, who is considered to be the one of THE all time greatest. Ever. I need to revisit Marvels and Kingdom Come again.

Humberto Ramos Draws on Acura

This is the kind of "paint job" I would gladly fork over money for. Ramos Art + Acura = Gold.

Australian artist DrFaustusAU

Quote
What started as imaginary covers soon turned into full-blown retellings of classic H.P. Lovecraft tales "for beginning readers," including The Call of Cthulhu, The Tomb, and Dagon (this one is done in the style of Tin Tin). These are fully illustrated, full-length retellings of the classic tales.

Besides stories, DrFaustusAU also blends decidedly more adult pop culture references into a Seussical soup. My favorites include his versions of Evil Dead and Silent Hill.

I download all of Dr Faustaus' stuff when it comes up, I have both "The Tomb" and "Call Of Cthulhu" in their entirety (he's currently doing "Dagon") and I WISH how I wish that they were in "real" book form so I could give them as gifts.

It would be great to have a proper book. Ya know, there is one program where you can use templates to design your own book and the company will print up a legit book for you. I can't remember the name at the moment, but it's something to think about. Will return once I can think of the service............

Joe Quesada

I actually dig the new re-design of Angela, courtesy of Joe Quesada. Even though I liked the original version of the character, I always thought McFarlane / Capullo's version was way too busy. This new version is streamlined and practical and yet it still feels very much in line with the original look.

Alessandro Diddi

Quote
Italian artist Alessandro Diddi, the man behind the anamorphic drawings, said that he wanted his "drawings to put across the message that the eye can trick the mind and make you believe that there are dimensions that are not really there." He succeeded.

Now here's someone thinking left of center.... thank gawd.

Hot Girls in Their Undies Kick Zombie Ass in This Art Series

Quote
Artist and illustrator John Masse has taken three things we all love – zombies, scantily-clad ladies, and buckets of gore – and combined them for the ultimate original art series.

Quote
Website ZombiePop unveiled (pun intended) this awesome collection of pin-up images by the famous illustrator, appropriately titled “Girls in Their Undies vs. Zombies,” and as the old movie tagline goes, it's exactly what you think it is.

Quote
The intrepid young ladies make excellent use of guns, knives, chains, bats, bow & arrow, even a pool cue to fend off the hungry undead clawing at their mostly naked young flesh.

Great post dude! I'm not following Diddi on Deviant Art and I like John Masse take on the Zombie genre.
