Although I have Issue #1 (which I got free at 2011 Comic Con for playing the Demo), I'm looking to pick up Batman: Arkham City Trade Paperback when I pick up the game on release day.

There aren't any books from DC Comics Reboot 52 that are coming out tomorrow that I want. I think it's next week that Greg Capullo's Batman book comes out, which I definitely want to pick up.

The Strain

Quote
from deltorofilms.com

As was reported on our forums, Guillermo Del Toro will be working with Dark Horse to release a comic book version of THE STRAIN, the trilogy of novels written by GDT and Chuck Hogan.  The comic will be written by David Lapham (Stray Bullets), with art by Mike Huddleston (MK Ultra).  Variety reports that the series is set for publication on December 14th.  Three paperback graphic novels will be released in the fall of 2012.  Each book will be 32 pages, with each novella in the trilogy getting an 8 issue series.  GDT says he will “supervise everything”, giving his opinion on the art, the covers and screenplays. (Artwork below taken from Bleeding Cool).

Chip's 52 Relaunch Titles To Read

I have today off. No ink spotting for me to do. So, I will re-read Justice League Of America and then hit the other books after that. Batman #1 by Greg Capullo came out today (that's the one on the Left, Front Row). On the Right, Front Row, Batman: The Dark Knight #1 by David Finch and Richard Friend is the book I got to work on and will be on sale next week. So, pick it up. The pencils, inks and colors look phenomenal. No lie.

I will have Issue reviews for the titles I read. So, those are forthcoming as well.

On top of that, my Epic Edition of Gears Of War 3 arrived today. I will be a very busy, happy camper today/tonight.

Elvira gets a new comic book series

Quote
Your favorite horror hostess with the mostess and mine, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark is getting a new comic book series featuring art by one of my favorites, Jeff Zornow. Jeff is not only a t-shirt artist and designer for Fright Rags, but he has also done comics like “Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters” and “Battle Beasts” for IDW Publishing. The “Elvira” writer, R.H. Stavis has worked on projects like “Tomb Raider” and “Transformers: War for Cybertron” as well as authoring several novels and an acclaimed horror short entitled “Play Things”. The Elvira stories, set to debut in 2013, are centered around Halloween and the Busty One’s misadventures therein.

“Unlike a typical licensing deal, we are bringing together the power of the Elvira brand, a top-notch female writer and a rising artist to develop a new line of comic books independently,” says Cassandra Peterson aka Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. “We will then find a publishing/distribution partner that shares our vision to unleash these stories to the world.”

We as fans can only hope that there will be that cheeky, sexy humor we have come to know and love. And cleavage… lots and lots of cleavage.

Take a Look at Mark Millar and Greg Capullo’s Vison of the Afterlife

This looks really good. I'm already there with Capullo doing the art.
