I had no illusions of what Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse would be before I hit play on the DVD player. I knew it was going to be stupid and that's exactly what this movie is. Basically this is a mashup of Superbad and Zombie flicks. Everyone involved clearly was told ahead of time not to take what they were doing seriously and it shows. It's a straight up parody of the genre. I don't mind that they don't take any of this serious, but there are times were they go beyond that and it just looks lazy. With that said, there are some very funny moments that will have you laughing out loud, but as a whole, it's a movie I'd never revisit again. Can't recommend this. Your better off just searching YouTube for a greatest hits clip showing all the funny parts and saving yourself 90 minutes in the process. Better yet, just go watch the far superior Shaun of the Dead.

Despite not featuring zombies, Cub might be the better choice of flick.
