Even though I found some humor in the first Anchorman movie, never did I think it was worth a sequel. For one thing, I thought the first one was way overrated with hardly a plot to it all. In Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, there is absolutely nothing going on besides sight gags and don't even think there is a plot to be had here. There isn't one. It's threadbare at best. Watching this one was beyond painful. It was boring, stupid and pointless. There was maybe 1 or 2 things I would categorized as "funny". A chuckle, if even that. This is Exhibit A for all things wrong with Sequels in general. Hated it. Skip, Skip, Skip! Even the star-studded cameo fight at the end was embarrassing. This movie gets 1 Star because I finished it. But it took nearly 18 hours to complete as I started it last night and just now finished up this afternoon. That should tell you how hard I tried to find something else to do.

Has there ever been a truly great comedy sequel?

Something that really annoyed me was the fact that they included the crawl right from the get go, that didn't exist until the early 2000s, I think.  But I KNOW it wasn't there in the 80s.  We just can't picture seeing the news without it.
