The A-Team - Unrated Extended Cut

Trailer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z93AADd2Dpo

This movie is so damn good. It's an incredible, 2-hour thrill ride that just never lets up. Those that know me, know that I absolutely detest Hollywood remaking TV shows because they can't think of anything better to do to cover up for the fact that they don't have a creative bone in their collective bodies. And there is the fact that every remake they have done has sucked donkey balls. So obviously I went into this with low expectations. I wasn't expecting much, even with Liam Neeson in the role of Col. John "Hannibal" Smith.

But the movie more than met my expectations, it exceeded them. The thing that makes this movie work for me is the cast. You get the right mix of actors together and you can create something fun and memorable. They nailed it with Neeson obviously. But they also hit a homerun with Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton "Face" Peck, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson as Cpl. Bosco Albert "B.A." (Bad Attitude) Baracus and Sharlto Copley as Captain H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock. I've always liked Jackson as a fighter in the UFC and on The Ultimate Fighter as a coach. But I was pleasantly surprised at how good and funny he was here. And this movie has a lot of funny moments. I particularly liked the cameos from the original series with Dirk Benedict (Face) and Dwight Schultz (Murdock).

I have to laugh at these so-called "film critics" that like to bash the film for being loud and long and average. Um....hello? Did you guys never see the TV Series it's based on? What are you expecting here? Sofie's Choice? Don't listen to these pretentious "film scholars". They don't know  s h i t.  Not only do I recommend this as a Buy, but I myself will look for a Deluxe Edition on DVD if and when it comes out. The one I checked out from the Library was just the Unrated Extended Cut. No real bonuses of any kind, other than the Trailer and a couple of fluff behind the scenes stuff.

Now bring on the Sequel!!!!!

I had never watched the series. I somehow knew of the characters, but that's about it.

The movie didn't do much for me. It was good mindless fun.
