Why Back to the Future Still Rules

I've really been digging IGN's new 'History of Awesome' series and I had been patiently waiting till they got around to 1985 and BTTF. Although the segment was good, I still wish they had dug a little bit deeper given how much they rave about the movie and the series as a whole.

I had recently read "We Don't Need Roads" (my sister got it for my birthday), and it looks like this is basically that.

Did you guys know about the 30th anniversary Re-release package coming out later next month? All 3 movies @ 5 discs.

I need to read more. It just might be repackaging.

Oh yeah.  It's new stuff on it, for example: the entire animated series.

The visuals were fun, but I thought that song was so wrong. It had the wrong sound.

By the way, hope we all stay on top of the best bargain for when this gets released. Amazon @ $30 thus far. Maybe, just maybe Best Buy will make it interesting.

Watching Back to the Future last night, I noticed something for the first time. The scenes in the Town Square of 1985 had an Adult Book Store and an Adult Movie Theater showing American ****.

It just struck me as odd as the center of a small town having those. Maybe that was typical in 1985?

Some folks have gone to great lengths to document the changes...

It's actually "O r g y American Style" (like "Love, American Style").  The other theater, the one Marty crashes into, became a church.  Given that a number of the buildings in the square were abandoned, it's not that crazy to think something like that would pop up there.

Funny that popped out at me this time.
