I really wasn't sure if I was going to end my Battlestar Galatica marathon with Blood & Chrome. I initially was very interested in what was suppose to be a new series on SyFy Channel when it was still in the planning stages. But then they said no and it became a Web Series, I lost interest. Fast-forward till now, I had heard a lot of negative opinions about B&C in the ensuing years. It was enough to really question if it was worth it to knock this off my list of things to see. The movie started off somewhat interesting. But as it wore on, it got progressively worse. It had great FX at the start, and then it had average FX in the middle and by the end, the FX were horrible. It's clear that they knew it was a losing battle and just didn't care by the end what it would look like. Factor into the mix that this movie is full of cliches swiped from every other Sci-Fi and Horror flick and you have the makings of a train wreck. Another thing that really irks me is that they used a group of actors 3 times during this BSG run. John Pyper-Ferguson and Jill Teed each made appearances in Caprica, Battlestar Galatica and Blood & Chrome. What the f*ck. You can't have actors playing different roles when one of the main selling points is that of duplicate Cylons. Ty Olsson and Brian Markinson were in 2 of the 3 series. Rent if you have nothing else to do.
