Breaking Bad is every bit as good as everyone has made it out to be. It's beyond good, it's one of the best written shows I've ever come across and I've watched thousands of series over the years to know what is the best. What is remarkable is that the writers have done a great job in making the lead character, Walt, sympathetic so that the viewer can get behind him and rationalize why he is doing this (for his family). If you are a fan of Dexter or Weeds, you will absolutely love Breaking Bad. I highly recommend Season 1 as a Buy. Just be aware that this season is only 7 episodes long.
