Very interesting episode. Obviously the two bald guys that are inter-cut throughout the episode will have some kind of face-off with Walt, most likely during this season's finale. But I thought the opening scene with them and the rest of the towns people crawling on their stomach's toward the "Witch Doctor's" hut was very bizarre. I hope they (writers) explain the meaning of this sometime during the season because that scene is going to be nagging at me for a very long time.

As for the rest of the episode, I was actually surprise that Walt told Skyler that he deals meth (actually, 'makes it'). I was certain that he would keep dragging his feet and not reveal anything about what he does. Jesse seems to have cleaned himself up with rehab. But how long do you think that's gonna last? I think as soon as he hears about the 3 million offer for 3 months work will not only get him back but will have Jesse pressuring Walt to do the same. This was a good episode, but not an epic one that I've come to expect from the series so far.

Caballo Sin Nombre

Great episode. It's now clear who the two bald men are. They are working under the orders of the Old Man in the Wheelchair to whack Walt. When they arrived at Walt's door at the end, with axe in hand, I knew that there would be a last second save by the Gustavo (Giancarlo Esposito). Not sure how the Bald Guys can be working for two separate bosses. I'm sure that information is forthcoming.

Pretty clever ruse by Jesse to buy his parents house more than half off the asking price. Trying to conceal the Meth Lab is a no-no and knew that this would be the trump card to get the house at his price instead of theirs. Just a really good episode all around. The pizza on the roof was a nice touch. Haha. Walt's peppered-sprayed face looked painful. Ouch.

I.F.T.

I will explain what the title of this episode means in just a second. The entire hour I was watching this, I was on pins and needles, just waiting for someone, be it Skler or Walt or Jesse to snap and have a major freak out. Just waiting for that proverbial shoe to drop and drop it does, just not the way I was expecting it to.  Walt pleads his case to Skyler and tells her about the money and his reason for becoming a cook in the first place and that she has till the end of the day to make a decision about where to go from there. Skyler takes advantage of the situation and ends up banging her boss, Ted.

Walt has already made the assumption that everything is OK with them and has basically gone about life as normal in the house. So when he tries to manipulate Skyler with "dinner", the only thing she says is...."I  f u c k e d  Ted", and leaves it at that, And there is the title of this episode.

As for Jesse, it was kind of sad watching him basically redial Jane's voice mail over and over for pretty much the entire episode. Two things were at work here. He was calling to listen to her voice and probably hoping that Jane one miraculously answer the phone and that she would be alive again and 2, just waiting for her service to be shut off, making the finality of her death real. Just a very sad thing he had to do.

We get to see a little back-story in finding out who cut off Tortuga's (Danny Trejo) head back in last seasons episode Negro Y Azul. A little clue: It was the two bald headed dudes.

Green Light

It's about time they start shining a light on Hank. He is clearly reeling from the disaster that befell him the last time he was in El Paso, his promotion job and they are asking for his return. Only problem is that he is still shellshocked. The last episode he started a bar fight in the hopes it would delay his return. In this episode he is taking a "dead end" lead on the Blue Meth and running with it in the hopes this too will delay his recall. He finally tells the Captain he won't go. Not sure how this is going to crash, but something bad is coming for sure. I'm just glad Hank has been getting a lot of screen-time lately as it really ups the tension level of an episode.

Also, a very smart move on the part of Gus in trying to lure Walt back into cooking for him. How best to do it? Buy the meth that Jesse is selling and then have Walt's cut of the profits literally thrown into his lap. It's hard to turn down that kind of cash once it's in your possession. Gus just nabbed a big fish on his line for sure. I thought Walt's way of "talking man to man" with Ted was hilarious! Especially with his ability to throw a plant throw his office window. Hahaha.

Nice callback with Combo, Skinny Pete and what Jesse spent Walt's 7k on. It wasn't the RV that's fore sure. It was scores of strippers. With only $1400 left, Combo hooks Jesse up with the RV he needs asap. So, where to go? Why you go to Combo's mom's place and sell her RV, that's where. It all comes full circle as Hank tracks down his last lead and ends up on the doorstep of the aforementioned house. I don't know how much longer than can drag out the secret identity of "Heisenberg" from Hank. I think he will have to discover that he and Walt are one and the same sooner than expected and that Hank will let it slide for whatever reason. I dunno. Just a guess because I can't see them dragging it out for 5 seasons.

Watching Gus show Walt his new cook lab was like watching a child on Christmas. It was inevitable that he would once again cook. There was just the matter of letting Jesse know and effectively ending their relationship once and for all. Yeah, right. There will buddy up by the end of the season. I'm not surprised that Walt finally agreed to the divorce. Great episode.

Wow. What a kick ass, intense-filled episode. A knockout if there ever was one. And the cliffhanger was pretty damn good too. I knew Hank would track down the RV eventually. I just didn't think it would be this soon and that it wouldn't have Walt and Jesse boxed inside (unbeknownst to Hank) the RV. I really didn't know how they would get out of this dicey situation. But I guess there is a reason why you have a lawyer huh. Whenever you need to have a secretary impersonate a Police Dispatch to scare someone on the other end of the line, that's how you do it. When Hank arrives at the Hospital he knows he has just been taken for a ride and he just lost his evidence in the form of the RV. That's where I thought the episode would end on. But it doesn't. Not until Gus gives the two bald headed cousins the name of the DEA Agent that popped Tuco. That being Hank of course.

FYI, I don't trust Walt's new cooking partner. I wouldn't be at all surprise to find out that HE is the kingpin and NOT Gus. My guess is that the new cook is just there to get Walt's recipe so that they can cut him out of the deal and save themselves 3 Million they are paying him for, Having him play the "nerd" card is definitely a way to throw off suspicion.

One Minute

Ooooooooooh  s h i t !!!!!

Good Gawd, that was insane!! The final 5 minutes of this episode was beyond EPIC! Hank, after beating the  s h i t  out of Jesse, losing his job on the force for excessive violence, comes out "clean" with no charges being pressed against him has him believing that all is good. NOT!! I knew that the Bald Dudes were on track to get Hank, but I wasn't expecting anything till at least the Season Finale. But as soon as I saw Hank "bragging" to Marie on the phone that he was in the clear, I knew  s h i t  was about to hit the fan. Sure enough, a massive battle ensues with Hank against the Brothers. The ending....WOW! So much for those guys, huh?

I didn't realize it at first, but with this episode now complete, this season really has been all about Hank and I like it a lot. It's been a great season so far. This played and ended like a Season Finale. I can only imagine what the writers have in store. Yikes!! The scene with Jesse was just as good and just as intense too.

I See You

I wouldn't have expected an entire episode set in the waiting room at the Hospital to give me a tension filled hour and that's exactly what we get. With Hank being operated on, and one of the Bald Brothers in recovery, I was on the edge of my seat. Anything could happen at any given moment, like when Bald Dude sees Walt starting at him from the doorway and rips the IV's out of his arm and tries crawling toward him to finish the job or when Gus shows up at the Hospital to offer food (really just sending a message to Walt).  Something bigger is starting to unfold with Gus as he is clearly looking to expand and assume more power for his operation. Fantastic episode.

Kafkaesque

Hahahaha. The ending had me giggling like a little school girl when Skyler convinces Marie to let her and Walt help pay for Hank's medical bills. The story that she unleashes to convince her was awesome. I knew it was a  b u l l s h i t  story and I was still on the edge of my seat in waiting with baited breath what she would say next. She was pretty damn convincing he telling the story about how Walt was a gambling addict and that he lost 14K which was the reason behind his fugue state. Oscar winning performance!!

Also funny, if not more so was Badger and Skinny Pete joining Jesse's rehab circle for the sole purpose of whetting the appetite of other meth addicts about the 'Blue stuff' that is about to hit the streets again. Ka-Ching!! Jesse is playing a dangerous game though. It's hinted at that he will be skimming the top of the meth he and Walt cook and slinging it on the side. Very dangerous.

Fly

Very unusual and very cool episode. Pretty much the entire episode was just Walt and Jesse in their cook lab....chasing after a fly. You'd think that this would be boring huh? Not at all. This was a moment for Walt to contemplate how everything got so messed up and come face to face with the guilt that has been eating away at him about Jesse's girlfriend Jane. I was certain that Walt was going to tell him that he was actually inside the bedroom and that he could have saved her. He doesn't. Solid episode.

Abiquiu

There is something big the writers are working toward to and my guess there will be some huge payback during the Season Finale with regards to Jesse. First he finds out that the girl, Andrea, that you wants to sling to has a kid. That puts the kibosh on slinging because he wants to do right by her. Then she talks about her younger brother Tomas, who just happens to be the same kid on the bike that shot and killed Combo. Jesse does what is expected of him. He goes down to buy rock and get the lay of the land and "meets" Tomas and the two goons in the car. The look on Jesse's face says it all. Revenge is a-coming.

In other news, it's been crazy seeing how Skyler has morphed from her original stance on drugs and all that Walt brought into the family to now talking about being at the center of their new "business" so that she can help launder the money he will be bringing in. Talk about a complete 180.  That dinner with Walt and Gus made me nervous. A guy like Gus is scary, especially when he doesn't exhibit any kind of emotion. You can't read him so you are always in the dark about what could set him off.

I thought it was pretty funny how Badger and Skinny Pete's original objective was to sling at the Meeting only to actual get something out of it and start their recovery process. Ha.Pretty cool to see Krysten Ritter return as Jane in a flashback sequence to start the episode.

Half Measures

Well, that 'revenge' plot didn't make it to the Season Finale. They went right into it and it was a whopper getting there. I liked the fact that Jesse stood up to Gus against the idea of using kids to sling for them. But even though they had "kept the peace" in that room, I knew it was far from over. What I didn't see was Tomas getting whacked to make sure his involvement never got back to the 2 dudes or Gus. When Jesse was slowly walking up to them at the end, I knew that Walt was going to run them down. The way it was edited, it's not to hard to see where it was going. But when Walt pulls the gun and executes the surviving thug, now THAT was something I didn't see coming. Man, the  s h i t  is gonna hit the fan big time. I don't see how Walt and Jesse can convince Gus it was in his best interest to have them eliminated. So why did Walt do this? My guess is that he does look at Jesse as a son and doesn't want him going down and is really trying his best to save him anyway he can.

I really liked the story that Mike (Jonathan Banks) told to Walt about the wife beater and the desert. His character has been somewhat under the radar. But now that Walt and Jesse have gone too far, we are going to see another side to Mike that we've only been hinted at.

It was all doom and gloom. I thought the 'bet' that Marie made with Hank was funny. Hank lost. He's heading home. Hahahaha.

Full Measure

Walt is able to buy a few days reprieve from any kind of retribution because he is the only cook and Gus needs him to maintain his quota. Enter Gale, the former assistant of Walt. He is there to learn Walt's recipe and eventually take over as the full-time cook. So, this sets into motion of how Walt can get the best of Gus and save his and Jesse's life. The only solution is for Walt to kill Gale. One little hiccup though. Walt is taken into custody by Victor with Mike waiting for him at the lab. We all know what's about to go down. But in a last ditch effort, Walt is able to call Jesse and relay the info that he has been kidnapped and that it's up to him to do the deed. And that's the cliffhanger, with Jesse arriving at Gale's door and firing one shot into the camera's POV. We won't know what happens next until Season 4..........

Season 3

Another stellar season of Breaking Bad that actually improved the the existing seasons. Hard to believe that given how awesome those first two seasons are. This season finally gave Hank something to really stink his teeth in and open up the universe that is Breaking Bad. I also liked that they started to change Skyler from a reactive type to a proactive type now that she is on board with keeping Walt's money clean and him out of prison. Jesse was another standout that went way deeper into the character than ever before. The story line involving Gus is delicious. Talk about creating a super cool villain.  I can't wait to check out Season 4. But that's gonna be awhile since I'm around #70 on the Hold List at the Library. Grrrrrr!!!!!

I highly recommend this as a Buy for sure.
