Slip Of The Tongue

I would have done more damage to that Cop if I were in the same situation. F uck da police!! Funny episode and it's nice to get back into Californication once again. It was an honest mistake for Hank (David Duchovny) going down on that chick. But if I were to get busted, I certainly would prefer getting busted with Surfer Girl (Michelle Lombardo) instead. As for the series, I still hate that it's only a half hour per episode.

The Great Ashby

Very funny episode all around. That biker dude in the same cell with Hank, talking about his ass. Funny. Runkle's jerk-off videos at work. Funny. Pretty cool to see that Callum Keith Rennie as Lew Ashby will have a recurring role in Season 2. I saw him in the last episode, but I figured it to be a one-off apperance. I was wrong. Still p*ssed about this half-hour format. I show like this should be an hour long episode. Come on!!

No Way to Treat a Lady

Yay! Judy Greer returns as Trixie!! I've been a huge fan of hers since Arrested Development and most recently Archer. So whenever she's in something 'new', well this is 'new' to me even if I'm 4 years late to this party regarding Season 2. Also, I'm a big fan of Carla Gallo as Daisy, who looks like she will be Runkle's (Evan Handler) pet project as he becomes her Agent.

The Raw & the Cooked

Now that was one wacky and f ucked dinner party. Hank finds out he's gonna be a father of Sonja's baby; because Mia has nothing better to do than to embarrassed him. Runkle and Marcy and f ucked up outta their minds on E. Lew has an allergic reaction and stars foaming at the mouth. Oh, and to top it off, Karen says no to Hanks marriage proposal. Why can't I ever get invited to dinner parties like that?

That Chloe Metz (Meredith Monroe) is one crazy whack job and one seriously hot chick. Yowzza!! This episode had some of the best and most original dialog of the series thus far. For real, "f uck me like I'm Al-Qaeda" was just the tip of the iceberg for memorable one-liners in this one. Haha. Awesome. I liked the reveal at the end when Hank calls Karen in the middle of the night just to hear her voice, even though they are no longer together and it's revealed to us the viewer, the family portrait she is painting of herself, Hank and Becca.

Coke Dick & First Kick

This one was all about Runkle getting roped into having to stand in for a p orn actor when his wife Marcy does lines with the star and promptly gets, you guess it....coke dick. Funny episode. And once again, Hank bangs another incredibly hot chick. This time it's a reporter from Rolling Stone Magazine, Annika (Carly Pope). Daisy (Carla Gallo) does the full monty and I fully appreciate that. Okay, 'half monty'...but still worth it.

In a Lonely Place

Pretty f ucking cool to see Justine Bateman pop up as Damien's mom. She was the last person I'd expect to see on Californication. More please. Also, it's really cool to see Mädchen Amick has a recurring role as Janie Jones. The last series I saw her in that wasn't just a 1 episode cameo was on Joey.

Going Down and Out In Beverly Hills

With Marcy being sent off to rehab, of course Runkle and Daisy were gonna get their swerve on. And once again, Hank bangs yet another chick, this time the maid of the chick he should have banged. Don't get me wrong, the maid was hot and I would have done the same. The dude has got major game. So, it seems Karen and Lew are going to hook up, or date, or whatever it is that seems to be brewing between the two. Turn around is fair play, eh.

I don't know any sane person that could turn down a sure thing with Janie Jones (Mädchen Amick). That's some serious self-c ock blocking going on. Charlie Runkle and Daisy are playing a dangerous game....they are falling in love is what it looks like to me. So, where is that gonna leave Marcy? My guess....living with Hank. Or maybe not. He and Karen discovered he has a lump. That doesn't sound very good.

In Utero

This is the origin episode of how Hank and Karen met. With Hank now having to wait for the results of his lump scare, he spends the episode reflecting on his life and how it came to be. Pretty interesting to see the moment that Karen and Hank find out they are going to have a baby that it falls on the moment that Kurt Cobain's suicide was aired nationally on TV. Now this makes the scene a couple episodes back all the more significant when Lew gave Hank one of Cobain's guitars as a gift, who Hank later gave to his daughter Becca, who herself ended up giving the guitar to her boyfriend Damien. I really enjoyed this episode a lot and I was anxious to know what was in the letter that Hank wrote to Karen. So the payoff at the end when Hank does the 'Letter Voice Over Narration' of it's contents was well worth the wait.

Blues from Laurel Canyon

Oh man, that's just f ucked up! So Lew is finally going to face up to his past sins and see Janie for the first time in 20 years...looking to find out if she is still in love with him, that there is still something there to hold on to. So what does he do? He snorts a couple of lines of coke for some courage. But I knew before he even got there something bad was going to happen. There was this impending doom in the air, and I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Sure enough, it did. I knew that it wasn't coke but was in fact h e r o i n. It's a page right out of Pulp Fiction. Not sure if he is dead and I hope he isn't because I like the character of Lew. But it sure does look like he is. Bummer.

FYI, I hate Mia. I can't stand that spoiled little, immature brat.

La Petite Mort

Well, Lew is no more. Bummer. Other than this little downer here, the entire episode was incredibly funny. A lot of great moments from the birthing scene to Charlie getting caught doing that thing he likes to do in private to Lew's statue. Funny stuff. Not sure where they are going with the cast now that they have Karen jetting off to New York for a job, leaving behind Hank and Becca in LA. We shall see.......

Californication (Season 2)

Season 2 was fantastic. I highly recommend this as a Buy. I for sure will buy the entire series if a good enough deal comes along.
