I've read a timeline regarding talks of Cloverfiled 2 and one of the statements made by JJ said that they will do a traditional production of the sequel and jettison the shaky cam from the first. But this was a couple years back when he said that. Things are stull in flux and they could end up going back to the original. Also, the creative team seems to be dragging their feet to make CF2 a reality. Can't fault them, especially JJ who is super busy with.... dominating Earth.
