The Bourne Ultimatum (2007)

The Bourne Identity is good. The Bourne Supremacy is great. But The Bourne Ultimatum is  f u c k i n g  AWESOME! There is absolutely no flaws to be found anywhere in the movie. The script is whip smart, packing in intense thrills for pretty much the entire film. And with a host of new characters added into the Bourne Universe, Jason (Matt Damon) has his work cut out for him in trying to uncover the mystery behind his previous life as David Webb. I really didn't think anything that followed The Bourne Supremacy could equal, let alone surpass it. Boy, was I ever wrong on that assumption. It blows it out of the water....and then back into it.

Going into the movie I was hopeful that there would be returning players other than Damon, so that there would be some continuity within his world. Happy to say that both Joan Allen and Julia Stiles return. As for Julia, she had a much larger and very pivitol role in Ultimatum. Her screen time here dwarfs her turn in both Identity and Supremacy combined. Adding to the mix are David Strathairn, Scott Glenn and Albert Finney.

The ending does set up what's to come in The Bourne Legacy and I'm looking forward to it no doubt. I highly recommend this as a Buy. If you like action adventures or thrillers, you absolutely can't go wrong. If your a fan of 24, this is the one to get. Take all the best things about 24 and you have an idea of what to expect in this one.
