This one felt more like an actual grindhouse film than Death Proof. Grindhouse films didn't have the budget for many explosions and special effects. So, to fill the runtime, they loaded the films with dialog, most of the times about trivial things like Tarantino does here. Plus, he uses zero CGI in this, using real cars, real crashes at really high speeds.
