Yeah. Just something with depth. In the movie, we don't even get anything in the way of 'why' they are KISS fans, other than that they just are. If they give us some insight into what the band means to them, then it will automatically set up why making the trek to see a KISS concert is important to them and why nothing would be able to keep them from reaching that objective. Take that out of the equation and you have characters without motivation. It's basic character development that every screenwriter should know. Sadly, 95% of those professionals don't even have a basic understanding of screenwriting theory and still get paid big bucks writing garbage. Ugh.
