From Dusk Till Dawn
2-Disc Collector's Series

Trailer

It has been years since I've watched From Dusk Till Dawn and I had forgotten just how good the movie is. We basically get two movies in one with the first half being in the Crime Genre, which is pure Quentin Tarantino and the second half is rooted firmly in the Horror Genre which is vintage Robert Rodriguez. Overall, I really do like the movie a lot and this is easily the last great movie that Rodriguez ever directed. I actually think it's his best film overall because it's so stripped down from all the Special Effects bullsh*t that he relies too much on nowadays. From start to finish, it's a fantastic movie and even if you know where the movie is going, there is a lot of small stuff in the first half of the film that makes you forget about that this movie is for all intents and purposes a B-Movie and nothing more.

But the movie really doesn't feel like one and that is because of George Clooney who elevates this into something more. He is just a f*cking cool cat that can handle himself in any situation. I kinda look at this as being the test run for his Jack Foley character in Out of Sight. Anyway, I dig the movie and the cast is great too with Tarantino, Harvey Keitel, Juliette Lewis, Cheech Marin, Danny Trejo, Fred Williamson, Michael Parks, John Saxon and Kelly Preston rounding out the cast. Oh, you didn't think I'd forget Salma Hayek did you? Come on. Even though she never gets naked or even ****, her dance routine is still memorable. I highly recommend Dawn as a Buy as this makes a great choice for Halloween if you're looking for something to spook ya, even if it really isn't scary.

One of the few I try to breakout very year.

Not for the squeamish, but entertaining from beginning to end.

I remember when it came out, all the flack about the two different films. Makes total sense.
