As a life long fan of both the Rocky series and the one and done Raging Bull, I did have 'What if' thoughts many many years ago about who would win in a fight between these two iconic fighters. Who would have ever guessed that it would one day translate into an actual movie many years later? The only problem in making a movie '30 years in the making' means both would have to be well into their twilight years. As much fun as one would expect to get from this pairing, there is no getting around the squirm inducing sight of two very old people beating the sh*t out of each other. When I first heard about this movie getting made, I wasn't expecting much from it at all. I kinda knew it would be bad, but hopeful that there would be some laughs along the way. The problem is, the movie isn't all that funny. But that doesn't mean it was bad......barely. It's an average flick and pretty much straight out of the Rocky playbook. All the beats are there. I'd say this is a Rent for those curiosity seekers wanting to see who comes out the victor. I was actually surprise they had one beating the other. Figured it would have been a draw before I even sat down to watch this. Be sure to stick around for the end credits, which serves up the funniest thing in the entire movie. Holyfield and Tyson will not be denied!
