Re: How Digital Libraries Made My DVD Collection Better

I use to buy on average, about 5 new DVD's a week during my peak buying years. But physical space as well as money curtailed that big time. It actually got to the point where I had to stop buying altogether as I maxed out every conceivable shelf space. I went AWOL for pretty much 5 years of no buying (with the exception of selected TV series that I had to have). So, with such a huge gap of not watching as many movies as I once did, I had to look to another source to fill that need. Enter the Library, courtesy of Mac's brilliant idea. Thanks. With the Library now my go-to source, I can check out old and new films and basically use THEIR shelf space.

Streaming is good too, especially to check out films I wouldn't normally give a chance on DVD's. I sill have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many DVD's all over the house. I do like owning physical DVD's and having them at my house, but I won't be keeping a majority of them as I sell them off over time, keeping only the top of the line movies I will always go back to watching again and again.....
