I Love You Phillip Morris is the other DVD I picked up along with Yes Man a couple of days ago and this too was one that I didn't know anything about prior to watching it. And I still don't know what it's about to be honest. What's the main point of the film? Is it his relationship to Morris (Ewan McGregor) or the fact that Steven (Jim Carrey) is kind of like Frank Abagnale in Catch Me If You Can with his ability to con his way into any profession. Or is it his ability to escape Prison at will? What sinks this movie is that it doesn't have a clear idea of what it's trying to say. Unlike Catch Me, I found this movie to be excruciatingly boring. I really don't understand what Carrey saw in the script that made this one a priority to get made. Definitely a Skip. I love Prison Genre films, but even that couldn't save this one.

I never heard anything good about this. You've confirmed I don't need to pursue checking it out.

I remember this movie being delayed for a long time, I can't remember if it was before or after they shot  it, but now I can see it being a post-filming delay.

Well, I think that the original story had a lot more gay content, and that got cut out in the edit.  I think.  I recall hearing that but I don't have sources to cite.
