Kill Me Three Times

Trailer

I'm a fan of Simon Pegg and I was very much looking forward to checking out Kill Me Three Times. He has done a lot of stuff that I like over the years, unfortunately this flick doesn't continue that winning streak. The movie is a Crime Caper in the vein of Pulp Fiction and go with its fractured storytelling and that's where the simiarties end. Where as the former and latter flicks have originality and fun tied into them, this one is just a flat and boring rehash of the same kind of plot of PF. What's worse is that in spite of the basic plot, the characters themselves were boring and brought this one even further downward. I didn't care for anyone so when they started dropping like flies as the movie went on, I  could care less. Sure, there are a couple of "twists" that will keep you around, but by the end, you just don't care anymore. With that said, Pegg was the only good thing, but that's not enough to warrant any kind of recommendation for this one. Definitely a Skip.

I've slowly figured out Pegg doesn't do wrong. His choice in movies might have its ups and downs.

I found myself liking this quirky film.
