Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

Trailer

How best to describe this? Awesome. Funny. Thrilling. Quirky. Insane. Original. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is straight up a fantastic movie, one that I can say you have never seen anything quite like before. If you are a Noir fan, you will get a lot of the inside jokes. If you don't have an understanding of this particular genre then it may go over your head a bit at times. But that still won't keep you from enjoying the onscreen chemistry between Robert Downey Jr and Val Kilmer. These guys are so good here that I wish they would team up again. If not in a direct sequel to this one, at least in another film would be nice. There's just too many things to break down here that if I did that it would ruin it for those that have yet to see it. But I will say this, the gun fight at the end is about one of the most outlandish and ridiculously satisfying conclusions I've seen in years. It...was....

Awesome!!!!!!!

Shane Black did a great job with the script as well as directing it, his first feature. For those that don't know the name of Shane Black, he is best known for writing Lethal Weapon, co-writing Lethal Weapon 2 and The Long Kiss Goodnight, just to name a few. If you need a face to the name, he can be found in Predator as Rick Hawkins. Getting back to the movie, I really liked the use of breaking the 4th wall in telling the story. It immediately sucks you in and doesn't let go till the end.

I rented this one, but I have every intention of making this one a Buy for me.

I have seen this, but honestly don't remember one thing about it.

Maybe, just maybe I'll pick this up again.

Little hesitant because Val Kilmar has really fallen off the face of the earth with regards to his acting chops and picks of movies. He just really screwed himself over years ago.

Well this one was a return to greatness for me and certainly one of his best in a long time. Very funny here. VERY. He did make some really poor choices in the roles he was taking for sure.
