The Great Wall is NOT great. It's actually a very dull, boring action popcorn flick. I really wanted to like this because it was/is after all a monster flick. So it's odd that with these reptilian hyena's, or whatever the f*ck you would call them, as a constant threat, this would arouse the senses in me. Nope. For starters, I thought most of the SFX in the film were bad. Like TV bad. Even worse than that was the writing and some questionable editing choices. Poorly paced and the ending itself....the thing we are all waiting for, is a complete letdown. Yeah, this is definitely a Skip. I won't ever watch this again. Ironically, I thought this would be the better movie of my Monster Double feature (the other being Kong: Skull Island). 2 Stars out or 5.
