Did any of the stars of the show go on to do other good stuff. I don't recall seeing any of them anywhere.

Then again, there's a huge swatch of TV I don't give light of day, let alone news about.

I believe season one had 25 episodes. Why that strikes me as massive is a sad testament to what we expect today with less than a handful or two of episodes in a season.

I was just thinking about this the other day in regard to The Shield (which I'm currently watching) and it struck me how shows now are just not willing to invest that kind of money any more. I can accept fewer episode for shows now if it means the quality is much better. I rather have that instead of 22 episodes of mediocre content. Even 24, a show that basically needs 24 episodes to tell its story is now reduced to just 12 episodes. It remains to be seen how this season pans out.

The one that has had the biggest success is definitely Michael Emerson in Person of Interest. He is f*cking awesome in the series. Daniel Dae Kim has had a nice run on Hawaii Five-O, which has seen a few guest stars with recurring roles on it such as Jorge Garcia (Hurley), and Terry O'Quinn (John Locke). But Emerson is definitely on the upswing of former cast-mates of Lost. Ken Leung (Miles) has appeared on Person of Interest a couple of times and Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet) did her best to save Revolution.

That's good to hear.  Those folks did some fine acting.

What about Matthew Fox (Jack), Evangeline Lilly (Kate) and Josh Holloway (Sawyer). They all had dominating roles. They didn't just fade away did they?

I couldn't agree more. Well said.
On the flip side, don't have these huge gaps of time. SAST (short attention span theater). I've heard 6, 12, 18 months of gaps. WTF

Last I heard, Fox got kicked off and arrested for being drunk and unruly on a Plane of all things. Lilly is in The Hobbit and Holloway had a new series on CBS called Intelligence. I saw the first episode, but I didn't think it was strong enough for me to invest in case they cancelled it. CBS has burned me a lot lately. Not going to take the chance. Sure enough, they did cancel the show.

I AM NOT enjoying the extreme shaky cam. WTF... I so forgot about that. Maybe I blocked that out of my mind.

But guess what, I get to watch that for 2 hours a night now.  >:(

Dammit, did they continue that style through all the seasons?

I guess Gene Simmons was right. Marriage sucks.  ;D j/k.

The shaky cam issue was never a problem for me and I hardly noticed it at all. The style remains the same throughout I guess. But since it's something that didn't affect me nor was it noticeable, I can't say for sure. Maybe they dialed it down somewhat are the series progresses? Here's a tip to combat shaky cam though. If you close one eye, tilt your head and stand on one foot, it levels everything out and appears to be stationary. Try it.

Speaking of leveling out... I saw some recent footage of Star Trek series, where the action has the people shaking because of torpedo hits or whatever. Then the camera shakes too to drive home the point.

But the footage is of just the cast doing the shaking.... It's kinda humorous.

something like this...

My wife is slowly figuring out what everybody else figured out when Lost first ran.

They throw a lot of strange stuff out, maybe readdressing it later, maybe not.

Every episode she's asking 'I'm trying to figure out blah, blah, blah'.

This only reminds me of the frustration I had the first time around. You kind of enjoy it, but then it tests my patience.

I found the sudden relationship between Sayid and Shannon odd. It's just starting, but forget where it goes.

Also, I don't get why no one is going to see the French woman, let alone, not even talk about her.

Finally, does Jin know English or not? In one scene we see Jin watching an argument from others about him and all he hears is jibberish. Yet in other scenes Harley and Michael are talking to him and he seems to understand.

Do you really want me to spoil it for you? Even if you pay me (wink wink), I'm still keeping my mouth shut.

No, it's still going. Just less intense each night (4 episodes a night).

We are in the middle of season 2.

I think I quit sometime around these middle episodes. I have in my head, that I watched 1-1/2 seasons. Some things I distinctly remember. Other things seem completely new.
