Follow the Leader

This is where the viewer really needs to pay attention and remember a lot of the stuff that has come before. There are a lot of callbacks and if you miss an episode or two, Follow The Leader could definitely trip you up. If you have manage to stick with the show up till now, this episode is hella fun. It was trippy having John The Leader lead Alpert to the Beechcraft plane just so that he could hand him back his stopwatch to give to the John The Wounded along with the message that he would have to....

Oh, just watch the damn episode already. What I type is not going to make things easier to follow.

The Incident Part 1 & 2

This Season Finale sure knows how to go out with a bang. With 2 concurrent story-lines coming to a head, you get double the fun and double the WTF. In the first one you have John Locke leading his flock to confront Jacob and along the way he convinces Ben that he has to kill him. It's not till the end that we discover that the John Locke that has been wandering around the Island is not who we think it to be. The real Locke is in fact still dead and in the coffin. So who is this "new" Locke then? Well, if you remember the opening scene with Jacob and The Man In Black, they talk about a 'loophole' that will allow Man In Black to kill him. Nice twist.

The other story deals with Jack and company racing against time to detonate the bomb before the 'Incident' happens at the site of what will eventually be know as The Swan aka The Hatch. It's never easy with these guys.  S h i t  happens, Juliet ends up getting sucked down into the mine, along with the hydrogen bomb. It's up to her to detonate it. BAM! WHITE LIGHT. Fade to black.....

To be continued in Season 6.

Season 5

This season plays a lot better than the first time around. I don't know if it has to do with watching episodes in consecutive days or what, but it just flies by very fast. This season was all about trying to fix the skipping Time Traveling thats sending everyone everywhere. If there is one hiccup in this season, I guess it would be that the main characters like Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, Sayid, Sun and Jin all seem to have taken a backseat. A lot of the focus is on the Dharna Initiative as well as Faraday, Charlotte and Miles. This needed to happen for obvious reasons. But it was kinda of odd, especially when reflecting back on the first couple of seasons. Even Ben became almost a secondary character just following John around most of the season.

Definitely worth a Rent if you've never seen Lost before. Die-hard fans of the series already have this in their personal video library.
