For an episode that is basically 'get on the plane, head to the Island, and then crash' and nothing more, it's surprisingly engaging. There are smaller moments like
Jack refusing to read
John Locke's "suicide" letter or
Ben calling from a pay phone beaten and bloody with no explanation. But that's about it. The nice twist at the end had
Jin, wearing a
Dharma Initiative uniform meeting Jack, Kate and Hurley at the lagoon...gun and all. The other awesome twist was the return of
Frank Lapidus as the pilot of fateful
Flight 316.
I also liked the fact that they had
Sun seperated from
Jack, Hurley and
Kate. This way it gives us the viewer something to look forward to with
Sun and
Jin reuniting. Had
Jin just "found" her with the gang, it wouldn't have been monumental. It would have been anticlimactic to say the least,
