Continuing with my own little DVD marathon of movies that I had high hopes for only to be disappointed with brings me back to Man of Steel. Following on the heels of Sucker Punch and Tron: Legacy, I had to give MoS another shot to see if something, anything would change for me. I had a different mindset this time around, specifically trying to keep Batman/Ben Affleck lurking in the background somewhere as the movie played on. Of the three movies I gave a second chance, I think MoS was somewhat better. Yes, it still has problems as stated in my original review, but at least this one wasn't boring which was huge for me. Some victory. I'm still working on ideas for my own Sucker Punch and Tron Legacy stories, but I don't have any idea of how I would change MoS. It never occurred to me to even think of doing a re-write while watching this tonight. As for my second time around for MoS, I actually give this a half star bump upward. 3 1/2 Stars.
