Business School

This episode best exemplifies the bubble that Michael has created for his own little world and when he gives a speech at Ryan's class and the students question the validity of his business model, he reacts in a way that pretty much sums up his IQ level. Not very high at all. I love this episode and the whole candy bar gag was priceless. With this episode being directed by Joss Whedon, you just knew they would somehow manage to get in a Vampire bit and Jim pulled it off perfectly with his subtle "transformation" to pull one over on Dwight. Very funny.

But out of the entire episode the best scene was when Pam hugs Michael for showing up to her art show and buying an art piece of hers. It was a very touching moment that had a very funny gag....candy gag that is. Awesome.

C o c k t a i l s

Very funny episode with Michael, Jan, Dwight, Jim and Karen heading over to David Wallace's house party. Dwight in particular owned this episode with his constant inspection of the Wallace's abode, culminating with his inspection of the chair in the kids bedroom. Creepy, but very funny none the less. The best reversal in the episode was when Michael and Jan were driving home and they are arguing, breaking up and then getting back together. What's so funny about that? Well, the entire time we are led to believe it was just the two of them in the car, but at the end of the scene, that's when Dwight reveals himself to be sitting in the back. Ha. Priceless!!

Also, this episode was notable because it's where Pam tells Roy that she kissed Jim on  C a s i n o  Night from Season 2. This obviously didn't sit well with Roy who snapped and went on a rampage of the bar, throwing and shattering everything in sight. Back when the episode first aired I thought it was a pretty bold move to keep the series grounded in reality. Up till now there had never been any hint of violence on the show. So I applaud the writer (Paul Lieberstein aka Toby) for keeping it real. Not many people know that J. J. Abrams directed this episode.

The Negotiation

After Roy try's to attack Jim, this ends up being a very funny, funny, funny episode. Michael's negotiating tactic with Darryl over getting a raise still makes me laugh harder than any other episode in Season 3. His leaning back and whispering to gain "control" just makes me howl with laughter. So damn funny!!

Also funny was the rashomon perception everyone had of the fight between Jim and Roy and what Dwight's role in thwarting said fight was Angela keeps having everyone repeat what they saw because it's clear she is getting off on it. Creed's interpretation was by far the funniest made-up story he has ever told. More please!! Give this man a spin-off series of his own!!

And lets not forget that this one also has Michael inadvertently dressing in a woman's suit. That alone makes this a classic episode. That and the fact that Andy returns to work and gets a surprise from Dwight.

Safety Training

Michael's way of teaching about Safety Training by way of suicide is both frightening and funny. Frightening because he seriously will go to the ends of the Earth to prove a point just to make people notice him. Funny because it's so absurd how clueless Michael can be at times. Steve Carell ftw!! I thought the "lets bet on anything" gag for the entire episode was pretty funny, especially the one involving Kelly.

Product Recall

OMG! This was so damn funny. The cold opening and the epilogue was EPIC!! The opening had Jim dressed up and impersonating Dwight down to a T and he was awesome! The epilogue had Dwight dressed up and impersonation Jim and he looked nor sounded anything like Jim and it was AWESOME! The fact that the rest of the people in the Office were encouraging Dwight just made it even funnier. I never get tired of watching this, So funny!

Sandwiched in the middle was damage control as Michael and the rest of the Office have to apologize for sending out paper stock with an obscene watermark invovlving a Duck and a Mouse. Use your imagination. Just an all around enjoyable episode,. I may just have to watch it....again......again.....

Women's Appreciation

A super-size episode that gives us super-size laughs. Phyllis gets flashed on her way to work which sends Michael and Dwight on two very different paths. Michael takes the girls from the office to the mall to celebrate them and shop and in the process admits to some weird crazy  s h i t  that he and Jan are involved in and realizes that he wants to break up with her. Dwight on the other hand decides to take matters into his own hands and catch the perpetrator with help from Pam who provides a Sketch that looks exactly light Dwight. So damn funny it hurts. As for the rest of the dudes, they spend pretty much the rest of the episode in the Women's bathroom. The ending epilogue was brilliant when Dwight realizes who the sketch resembles.

Beach Games

A stellar episode and the first one to be completely shot outdoors and away from the Office and Building, with the exception of the cold opening. This one had it all from some major laughs to a very revealing moment for Pam. As for the laughs there are plenty to go around as Michael organizes a Beach Day for everyone in the Office so that he can pick his successor to be manager. What makes this a fun episode is that it's loosely based on Survivor with teams and challenges and even had its own "Tribal Council" at the end. Michael even does his best 'Jeff Probst' imitation when doing the "on your mark, get set, go....". Hahahaha.

One of the best sight gags for not just this episode but for all of Season 3 is Andy wearing a Samurai Fat Suit falling into the water and floating away. What makes this even better is that 5 hours later (estimate) he is still floating in the water waiting to be helped. Also extremely funny was Dwight's attempt to get the manager's job by just standing on the hot coals and then crawling to freedom after suffering severe burns on his feet. But the biggest thing going for this episode is after Pam walks on hot coals, she finally tells Jim about her feelings for him. It. Was. Awesome!! Fantastic episode.

The Job

I had forgotten just how epic the Season Finale was until watching it again tonight. There's so much to like here that it's hard to pick a favorite moment. How can anything top Jan's new knockers that she got for the sole purpose of winning back Michael? Well, it worked, hook, line and sinker. But believe it or not, there is something actually better than Jan's knockers and it's what the entire season was building toward. When Jim interrupts Pam's on camera confessional to ask her out for dinner, the look of sheer joy on her face was priceless. Nothing could top this moment right? Think again bub. The epilogue was awesome because up till now, we all thought that the only people in the running for the Corporate job was Michael, Jim and Karen. So when David Wallace calls and offers the job to Ryan, it just took this episode to another level.

And when Ryan breaks up with Kelly on the spot.....perfect. Props to Dwight crying like a little girl at the start of the episode. Hahahahaha. Funny stuff.

The Office (Season 3)

Simply put, Season 3 is brilliant and is one of my all time favorite seasons from The Office. There is so much to like and nothing is wrong here. It's as close to perfection that you're going to find from any series, past and present. I highly recommend this as a Buy.
