I went into
Money Monster with low expectations because it's split right down the middle between those that love it and those that hate it. I came away on the side that actually dug the flick. It's a great thriller that kept me in suspense the entire ride....until the end. The ending is where it lost me. It just didn't deliver in the way that it should have. I sit through 90 minutes and I expect to get a joyous release because it's THE moment we are all waiting for. This didn't do it. It actually left a bad taste in my mouth.
George Clooney was great and
Julia Roberts was ok in what amounts to a very small role.
Jodie Foster does a great job directing. I just wish someone thought enough to think things through at the end. I can't imagine anyone walking away from the movie being fine with how it ends. Woulda, coulda, shoulda. Worth a
Rent in spite of it. Nothing more.
