My Super Ex-Girlfriend

Trailer

You put Uma Thurman in a great movie and you have Kill Bill. You put her in a horrible movie and you have My Super Ex-Girlfriend. Don't be fooled. This is definitely a 'Date Movie' disguised as a Superhero movie, not the other way around. I'm really not sure why I even bothered to check this one out, even after I said I never would back when the trailer for this dropped in 2006.

There really just isn't much to like in this movie at all. First off, it's confusing trying to figure out who the main character is. Is it Jenny (Uma Thurman) or is it Matt (Luke Wilson)? This is a big fail on the part of the screenwriter. But it wouldn't have mattered who's story was being told anyway, the plot is typical of a 'jealous ex that seeks revenge on ex-boyfriend'. It just wasn't at all interesting to say the least. Pridictable? Hell yes. From the very first scene that Matt shares with Hannah (Anna Faris), you know they are destined to be together.

There was one thing I did actually like about the movie and that was the Great-White-Shark-chomping-through-the-apartment scene. Very funny and very cool. Other than that, this is an embarassment of a film for the starts involved as well as Ivan Reitman of all people. Is this what he has decided to do with his Directing career? Ugh.

Props to Wanda Skyes who always makes me laugh and Rainn Wilson also had his moment to shine. But this is still a Skip at the end of the day.

Yea, all I remember is the shark scene and Uma Thurman getting pissed in scenes.

I got nothing else.
