Oh, God! Book II (1980)
« on: November 02, 2013, 11:28:43 pm »

I saw Oh, God! Book II in the theater once and then maybe a couple more times on cable a year or two after that, but only because there was nothing else on. I remembered that the slogan 'Think God' was pretty clever in it's spin on the original 'Thank God' catch phrase. But beyond that, I didn't care for the movie. It's pretty forgettable and it was actually a struggle to get through it tonight. The charm of the first film is nowhere to be found in the sequel. The little girl is annoying and the movie itself plays like a bad TV Movie-of-the-Week. The writing was sub-par and George Burns doesn't have many memorable lines at all. Doesn't help that John Denver and Teri Garr are nowhere to be found either. Definitely a Skip.
