Paul is a love letter to all the best Sci-Fi movies of the past 30 years and anyone that grew up watching the biggest and best movies from the 70's and 80's is sure to love this one. There are so many pop culture references and inside jokes in this movie that if you pay attention, you will be rewarded each and every time. It really does give you a good laugh at each turn. Out of all the one-liners, the biggest and best inside joke easily goes to Blythe Danner when she utters the iconic line "Get away from her, you  b i t c h "! That's only half the equation though. To say anymore would ruin it for you. So, I will refrain from saying anything else here. I will say that there are some pretty kick ass cameo's that will leave a huge smile on your face.

So, why do I like this movie so much? It's kinda like getting to live out a fantasy that I've had since the first time I saw Close Encounters Of The Third Kind in the theaters as a little kid. Ever since that monumental moment, watching the ending unfolding, seeing the Aliens and the Mothership, I have always wanted my own Close Encounter. To experience something like that would be life changing. So, through this movie I, we, get to live out that fantasy through the eyes of Graeme Willy (Simon Pegg) and Clive Gollings (Nick Frost) who are turning out to be the best on-screen duo in years. If you love Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz, you are sure to love this one as well.

I highly recommend this as a Buy. Get it and watch it. Now!! Bring on the sequel. That's not the ravings of a fanboy either. Simon Pegg has said he wants to do another one called Pauls. But it's a year or two off in the future though.
