Celebrate 20 Years of Quentin Tarantino with This New 8-Film Blu-ray Box Set

Quote
If by chance you were planning on picking up a Quentin Tarantino movie on Blu-ray anytime soon, you may want to hold off. Lionsgate has just announced a groovy-looking Blu-ray collection celebrating 20 years of the filmmaker's work. Dubbed Tarantino XX, this November 20, 2012-releasing set will include Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vol. 1, Kill Bill Vol. 2, Death Proof and Inglourious Basterds.

It's not every film the man has been involved with over the last two decades, but it's certainly all the major ones. But if you're bummed at the lack of Four Rooms, From Dusk Til Dawn or Sin City, Lionsgate is trying to make it up to you with the snazzy packaging (which was designed by Mondo, though the press release doesn't say which artist they contracted to do it) and two bonus discs exclusive to the set.

The individual movies are all identical to past Blu-ray releases, which means they're pretty stellar discs (here's our reviews of Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown for proof), so if you already own all these movies, double dipping just for the Mondo packaging and the new retrospective features on the bonus discs may not be worth it. But if you only own one or two of these movies, this is certainly a box set worth holding out for.
