Shoot 'Em Up is exactly what it sounds like. It's 90 minutes of bullets and carnage by any means necessary. If you're looking for deep thought provoking plots or character revelations, you're in the wrong place. This movie is more or less a video game come to life with real actors, taking the best things from a John Woo film, pumping it with Steroids and downing a thousand Red Bulls....for breakfast. The action is so over the top ridiculous that you can't help but laugh at the absurdity of what you are witnessing on the screen. The further you get into the movie, the funnier it becomes and I don't mean that in a negative way either. It's a funny movie with Clive Owen, Paul Giamatti and Monica Bellucci. Both Clive and Paul each get ample screen time to shine and steal each other's thunder.

And at every dead body, there is always a snappy retort that brings back the great one liners that Arnold made popular in the 80's and 90's. So, if you want nothing but over the top action, this is definitely the one to get. It's awesome! Highly recommend as a Rent, but for me it's a definite Buy.
