There was a lot of hype surrounding Snowpiercer and I had been looking forward to this for quite some time. I was expecting something fresh and different from the norm. So, the first 30 minutes or so left me feeling.....cold.  But not in a good way. It felt like a flick that I had seen before plenty of times. It's not until the gang is able to breach it's first car does it begin to offer up something you haven't seen before. It takes the gang the entire movie to get from one end of the train to the other, which itself had me thinking Wizard of Oz. With each new car offering up a new scene of a forgotten world, you end up sticking around to see who or what is behind the curtain at the end of the road. The movie is definitely original and makes you think about how society "functions" as a whole and how different classes are viewed. Snowpiercer is definitely worth a Rent. Stay with it. It may come off a bit odd in some places, but there are a few good character and plot reveals along the way to keep you interested till the very end.Chris Evans and Tilda Swinton dominate the film in their respetive roles. Ed Harris and John Hurt also appear as well.
