I don't think he is gay. He was just very protective of Gordie, much like a father figure, even if they were the same age.

Also, I know his character's name is Chris, but my name is also Chris and I don't want to keep typing "Chris is gay," and not because it's like a chant and will come true if you say it enough, nor am I overcompensating for anything in the other threads, not at all, not me, not straight-as-an-arrow Chris!

But hear me out, they're very close, they care for each other like they wouldn't care for anyone else, I guess it would be kinda nice if they were a little curious, give them the option to at least find out if it's true or not (and maybe they're not, which is fine, just closure on that avenue), at least, but it was the fake 50s, who knew about that sort of thing back then, or dared to think?  You can certainly select some evidence to support that theory (remember the talk about schools? "You'll meet other boys." "You mean other p*ssies?"  Ponder that.  Ponder, I say!)  At least keep your mind open to the possibility, but the nicest interpretation of that, like a tragic young love story type thing.

BTW, how is Gordie aware of what's happening with the gang, given that he's not there for it?  Like, I can see how he would guess how the gang starts to follow them, but how does he know about the game of chicken?

All I have to say to that is "Chopper, sic balls".

Oh my god, I'm at the part where Wil's just crying and sobbing "it shoulda been me" and River's comforting him and I just want him to hold him, it's so sweet.

AH!  Keifer just called him a "F*ggot!"

And if you remember the exchange after Wil scares Keifer away with the gun...

God that was great.  Though I think it's also telling that when the credits started I honestly expected them to say "Baby Wil Wheaton as Gordie Lachance" etc.

Now, I'm wondering now if Dreyfuss actually did the voice for the voice-over, I know sometimes his brother does it and I'm remembering that the voice-over stopped once we SEE at the end, now I'm not sure.

Watching the reunion thingy, talk about time whiplash.  One of the first thing Wil says is "my sons just graduated from college."  Wow.  And he's got the evil Wil beard.

BTW, can't believe that Jerry isn't in the reunion thingy.  Come on!

He was too busy trying to justify The Munsters to do any reunion.

Once in a lifetime opportunity!  No, can't make it.

Although if I was married to Rebecca Romijn and attached to my brother at the hip, I probably wouldn't leave the house either!

See, I was making mental notes of stuff to inspire me from this one, now her name is stuck in my head.  Maybe on the cover of one of the mags the boys were reading at the beginning, perhaps.  "I'm gonna marry this girl someday!" "Sure you will, fatty!"
