'The Goldbergs' Pays Homage To 'The Breakfast Club' In S4 Premiere

I just watched The Goldberg's season premiere for Season 4 and as you know, it was a homage to the best things about The Breakfast Club. I have been wanting to check this series out since it first came out, but never had time before. I won't watch anymore episodes from here on out as I intend to start from the beginning. But yeah, I made this one exception for obvious reasons. This was a fun and great episode. Loved it.

I like the Godbergs but I'm not nuts about the homage episodes.  They did one of Ferris Bueller and it was just painful for me to watch, just recreating scenes without really commenting or mixing it up at all.  I like that Adam is into pop culture, but he abides by all the set rules, they don't mash anything up.  They do Star Wars in one episode, Transformers in another, but a kid like Adam would be mixing it up.

The Criterion Collection put out a special edition of The Breakfast Club.  Tons of special features, including 50 minutes of deleted scenes.

My copy just came in the mail.  Can't wait to explore all this.  I anticipate making TONS of GIFs.

I had no idea this was even happening. It's what I've been waiting for since the dawn of DVD first came out. I'm sooooooooooo getting this. Are there any other different versions like Target release one kind, Best Buy another, Amazon another and so on. Or is this just one version by Criterion and that's it?

I'm looking on eBay right now and they all seem to be packaged in a Clear Plastic Bag. Is this right? What's up with that? This official? I ask because I've never seen that kind of a DVD "Case". Let me know. Thanks

Nope.  Criterion doesn't do distributer editions, ever.  They do one high quality release that's universal across all retailers.  And they sure as sh*t don't release anything in clear plastic bags.

The case is clear, not blue, and there's no empty bit on the top for the logo.  It's very distinct.  It'll be wrapped and have that criterion sticker on the corner.  It's going to look like this.

there's a booklet in there and it's absolutely part of the special features.  And it just came out so I doubt there's many if any "used" editions out there yet.  And honestly, most people who collect Criterions never get rid of them.

So, I got the Criterion couple of weeks ago and watched the movie a few days ago....and now I'm slowly going through the Bonus stuff. Currently watching the on-set interviews. I'm actually going to spread the Bonus stuff out over a few days because I want to savor it. This is content I have been waiting years to get my hands on and what I've seen so far is tripping me out, especially the BTS stuff.

I watched half the deleted scenes and that's it thus far.  I want to savor it too, but I'm not in a Breakfast Club mood yet.

Blindspot - Patterson Joins The Breakfast Club (Episode Highlight)

I'm 3 weeks behind schedule on the series, but this was a nice surprised today. What was already a kick ass episode just reached a whole other level when Patterson walks in on TBC. Jaimie Alexander as Alison was f*cking awesome!!

Don't you forget about me - Agents of Shield Season 7 Episode 7

Just finally got caught on Agents of Shield this season and then THIS happened. Brilliant and funny as f*ck. An already kickass season just went through the roof when this dropped. Check this out while you can, because this video is sure to get pulled off of YouTube.
