I really shouldn't like Tremors. It's the definition of a cheesy Grade Z Monster flick with unimpressive FX, even for when it came out, it wasn't anything to be impressed by. But here I am, still watching this all these years later. It's a fun romp with a bunch of great characters. Ya got
Kevin Bacon and
Fred Ward. They are aces here. Even the odd casting of
Michael Gross and
Reba McEntire as a pair of survivalist can't sink this movie. I think another reason why this film works for me is the humor that comes with it. It may be a "horror" flick because we are dealing with monsters and a cast that is stranded far away from any help. But amid all this carnage, they manage to give us levity when we need it which keeps things light.
I highly recommend this as a
Buy. I still own my copy, and you should do the same.
