Yeah, I too thought the same thing. With how many things they were changing and adding to the overall story, the one thought that came into my head was that this was just waaaaaay too much stuff for one movie. No way in hell Burton would have been able to shoehorn all that into 2 hours. Sure, he could have done just that, but it would have felt rushed for sure. I was thinking Trilogy , but obviously the studio would never have gotten on board with something like that given all the sh*t this movie was getting in pre-production.
