You would think that you'd have to be a die hard
KISS fan to enjoy
The Eric Carr Story: Inside The Tale Of The Fox, but that's not the case here at all. Yes,
KISS fans will probably get more out of this than people that don't know him or those that don't listen to
KISS. But the documentary, even though it tracks everything from his first drum set all the way to his passing, it's more about the man himself and how he touched those around him. You get the sense that as talented as he was in all facets of music and art, he will be remembered more for his compassion and personality toward other people, especially strangers and that is a legacy we all should strive for. I've heard for years, even when he was alive and still in the band, about his unwavering generosity towards other people and this Documentary really paints a beautiful picture of the man. I always wanted to meet and talk with him back in the day. At least I got to see him perform live a few times. Those that got to meet him are very fortunate to have done so.
The production of the doc isn't one of the best, but I don't think that's really the point. There are a ton of behind the scenes stuff, rare photos and home movies along with some big names sharing their views on
Eric. I think everyone should watch this at least once. For the DVD, it's definitely worth a
Rent. But I've done you guys a solid and posted the documentary itself to save you guys the trip. Enjoy. RIP
Eric.
