Kind of at a loss for words in how The Hunger Games: Catching Fire was overwhelming "better than the first". That's what I kept hearing about the movie when it was out in the theaters. What plagued the first installment is what cripples this one. The first hour is literally the same movie, beat for beat. Because I already saw the same set up, watching it play out again was putting me to sleep. There were no surprises for me at all. And just like the first movie, this one doesn't kick into gear until the games starts. At least this one had a different feel overall with regards to the games. Plus, there was definitely an element of danger that the first one lacked. But the thing that really irked me is the ending. Talk about a letdown. I know they wanted to set up the third and final installment, but this ending absolutely sucked because it literally just.....ends, and you left muttering to yourself "did they just really end the movie right there?". I'm p*ssed off because it feels like they just cut full movie in half and we have to wait another year to see the second half. Worth a Rent. Kinda. Just go into this knowing you're gonna be p*ssed like me after watching it. That or asleep.
