When The Interview was first announced, I knew that I would eventually check it out in spite of the juvenile plot of killing the Dick-tator of North Korea. These types of movies aren't necessarily on my must-watch-immediately list. But since I'm a fan of both Seth Rogen and James Franco together on screen, I was always going to see this, regardless of how good or bad the movie would be. But when the Sony Hack Scandal erupted and our rights as American's were being threatened with across the board censorship, The Interview shot straight to the top of my list as it did for most everyone else. Even though I opted out seeing it in the theaters (no, it had nothing to do with fear of attacks, etc....), this was one I was eager to see on DVD.

Watched this last night and the movie is basically a dick and fart joke movie. The acting was purposely self deprecating, especially on James Franco's part. This may have been a lowbrow comedy, but I found myself very entertained from start to finish, which is something I wasn't expecting at all. There were moments I found to be laugh-out-loud funny as well. I thought it was a pretty good flick and it's definitely a movie I would watch again if I came across it channel surfing. This is worth a Rent for sure. It's funny, but it also has a message that does make you think about the plight of what the North Koreans are being subjected to. As expected, for those that are easily offended by stereotypes, ya might wanna look elsewhere as this relies heavily on it. As everyone already knows by now, the cameos by Eminem and Rob Lowe were great.
