I knew going into the series that Durst f*cks up, leading to his arrest. It has ZERO effect on watching the series play out. It was in the back of my mind from Episode 1-6 and I was still enthralled. All I will say is that if you haven't seen any clips of the ending, avoid it at all cost. Don't go running to YouTube and cheat yourself out of the experience. Let the series play out because with that knowledge of what's coming, it makes it even more epic when it does.
