You don't have to be a gamer to enjoy this documentary. You don't even have to like games at all. The basic premise is you have a good guy (the one that wants to become the
Donkey Kong Champion) and the bad guy (the one that will do whatever it takes to keep his belt). Even though this is a good film, I can't stand
Billy Mitchell and his cronies. I've known a few of these types of people and it's just so f u c k i n g sad that these "adults" with families, kids and wives still refuse to grow up. They put such a premium on something that really has no relevance in the larger picture of life.
Billy wants to make himself out to get this grand messiah and feed his ego by having some pretty lame ass people around him, people that clearly couldn't get laid or even get a date. And they think that hanging out and doing Billy's bidding makes them feel "important" in life. It's this little clique of theirs, that's pretty pathetic at the lenghts they go to discredit the contender to the throne. If a movie can get me all riled up like that, it's doing something right.
