Company Picnic

I love the episode but I have always been disappointed that this wasn't an hour long episode. There was so much material to play with, especially with the return of Holly. There is just something so cool about seeing Holly and Michael together. When he is just staring at her while she is sitting beside him, that look says it all. He knows she is the 'one' and we all expect him to plead his case to her in why they belong together at some point in the episode. But that moment never arrives. I may always knock Michael for being so delusional in the reality that he creates for himself, but there is a moment toward the end when he is talking to the camera about how he knows they will end up together and that this is just part of the story that they will tell one day. There is something very soothing about that and I can't knock him for it at all.

The volleyball game was good, especially Dwight's stall tactic to give Jim and Pam time to get back from the hospital. But that becomes a moot point for them when they learn that she is pregnant. I love how they reveal this information to the viewer. No sound whatsoever. We are left to fill in the blanks and it works.
