Gossip

This was a good season premiere. It's kind of hard to take one gag and run stretch it out over 20 minutes. Some of the rumors that Michael spread throughout the Office were incrediblly funny. Some of the others, not so much. The best of course was Michael getting Andy to question whether or not he was gay. Very funny indeed. Also funny was Kevin's rumor that he has another smaller person inside of him being controlled by...controls, had me laughing. But the most memorable part of this episode was the cold opening when Michael, Dwight and Andy are doing Parkour.

The Meeting

The meeting between David Wallace and Jim wasn't anything to laugh at. Wasn't meant to be. But Michael trying to appear important and find a way into the meeting was very funny. But I think the best part of this episode was definitely Toby and Dwight trying to prove that Darryl was lying about his injury to get workers comp. The scene where Toby mistakes Darryl's sister for Darryl was a riot!!

The Promotion

Solid episode where Jim finally gets to strut his stuff as co-manager along side of Michael and quickly runs into his first problem of how to distribute raises for just a few of its employees. Yup, Jim's method of how to decide does not go over well with those that don't get raises. Good episode, just not great.

Niagara

This is it. This is the EPIC episode that finally culminates with Jim and Pam's wedding after 5 long years and it was well worth the wait. It was both funny and very touching. There were so many laugh out loud moments to savor. How can anyone forget about Kevin's toupee and kleenex shoes ? Or Andy tearing his scrotum? Or Jim and Michael's dinner speech? Or Dwight, the babe magnet? Or Michael hooking up with Pam's mom? It was just a fantastic hour long episode that gives us one of the most memorable weddings ever on any series.

How can you go wrong with the Office gang doing their version of the that became a YouTube sensation? It was awesome. And I love how they inter-cut from the Chapel Wedding to the actual wedding of Jim and Pam on a boat under the mist of Niagara Falls. This episode is so good that I will definitely watch it again tonight for sure.

Mafia

What do you think this one is about? The Mob of course. Well, kinda. Michael along with Dwight and Andy, think he is being shaken down by a member of the Mafia. In actuality, it's just a really pushy salesman that looks and acts like he has connections if you will. But it's all the theories that Michael, Dwight and Andy come up with that makes this a hoot to watch. Watching Andy  f u c k  up the simple act of jump starting a car just to keep his disguise intact was funny as hell.

The Lover

Hot off the heels of Jim and Pam's Honeymoon, the  s h i t  hits the fan when Pam hears that Michael is dating her mom. Even before he ever went there, I knew that when the argument finally happened that he would in fact play the "I could be your father one day" card. Sure enough, he does say it and it was awesome. Dwight trying to bug Jim's office with a wooden mallard was also priceless. Also priceless was Michael hugging Toby, his arch enemy for life.  Hahahaha. Really funny episode.

Koi Pond

The episode was just OK for me. It's never really been one of my favorites. Nothing really happens that I would even say is funny, with the exception of when Michael begins to over-share about all the embarrassing things that have happened to him over the years. I didn't care for Pam and Andy cold calling with business', using her pregnancy and Andy as the "father" to close deals.

Double Date

Very funny episode. But where to start? Watching Michael squirm his way through Helene's Birthday after learning her real age was funny. You knew that this was going to rub him the wrong way and that he would start looking for excuses to end the relationship with her. What was really funny was when he started thrashing all of his gift ideas and saying how stupid and dumb they were. Hahaha.

Jim: It's a home run.

Michael: It was a bunt.

Hahaha.

The other good thing going for this one was Dwight looking to get favors from others in the office is constantly being repaid by Andy. Game. Set. Match. And then there was the slap. The slap across Michael's face from Pam. I loved his reaction after she slaps him.

Pam: Are you okay?

Michael: Nooooooo!

Hahahaha.

Props to Toby for being so enthusiastic about teaching Pam the finer things of how to punch Michael.

Murder

I do declare this episode was EPIC!!! It was so fun watching the gang getting into their respective characters to solve the crime. Yes, it was a role playing game, a 'whodunit' if you will. So why are they playing a game during working hours? Well, it's Michael's way of taking their minds off the fact that Dunder Mifflin is in finanacial crisis and will become solvent before the year is out. So, what would you rather think about? A fake murder or losing your job. Exactly.

Michael was particularly funny with his accent and I love how Dwight was taking the game literally as fact, altering how he would kill them all. Talk about getting into character. But the prize of the day goes to Oscar and his "accent". So damn funny!! The Mexican Standoff at the end was awesome. Funny and epic is all I gots to say about this one.

If this still doesn't sell you on the awesomeness of this episode, just watch the cold opening where Dwight kicks his own ass.

Shareholder Meeting

Two things go down in this episode. One was good, the other was better. The good was seeing Michael put his foot in his mouth again at the Shareholder's meeting. He thinks that he can say anything that the crowd wants to hear and it will make all of Dunder Mifflin's problems go away. Not. The other thing that was better was Jim finally exerting his pull as Co-Manager on the Office who seem to think he really doesn't have any power at all. So, it was funny to see Ryan finally put in his place of all places.....the closet. Hahahaha.

Scott's Tots

The whole Scott's Tots thing really didn't give me any laughs. It wasn't suppose to. Where do you find humor in crushing 15 kids dream of College by having to come clean to them that you can't pay for their tuition. And Dwight's "diabolical" plan gag wasn't all that funny either. The episode was just OK. Best part of the episode was Michael's 'Elvis-talk' and Andy's annoying 'Baby-talk'.

Secret Santa

A good episode, but a not so good Christmas episode. Doesn't get near the level of the previous Christmas episodes on The Office. Although I did find Michael turning into "Jesus" just so that he could one-up Phyllis who was dressed as Santa. Also funny was when Michael, being the poor sport that he is, is on the mic and is giving a running commentary of each person that he opening their secret Santa gifts.

The best Xmas episode in my eyes so far are: A Benihana Christmas (Season 3) and Moroccan Christmas (Season 5)

The Banker

In a nutshell, The Banker is a clip show. Even though they did show some of the best bits from the first 6 seasons of the series, it doesn't offer much in the way of advancing the story-line, which is that a fact checker is sent to Dunder Mifflin to varify if the company is safe and valid enough to be sold to the Buyer that is planning to take over. Even though they showed a lot of great clips, in the end, this is just one less episode we get. 4 Stars.

I didn't particularly care for this episode when it original aired on broadcast TV and it still rubs me the wrong way on DVD. I don't like Gabe and I think this was another case of jumping the shark with more big name Hollywood actors dropping in on The Office. Just feels weird with Christian Slater and Kathy Bates.
