The World Is Not Enough
Special Edition

Trailer

I can suspend my disbelief in a lot of things, but I can't suspend the idea of Denise Richards as a Nuclear scientist in The World Is Not Enough. Many like to point their fingers as her role as Dr. Christmas Jones as the sole reason why this movie isn't all that good. That's kind of unfair and misleading. There really wasn't anything to like in this one. The two main villains were boring. The story itself was weak with a plot that really didn't make any sense at all. This was Pierce Brosnan lone turkey in my eyes during his Bond run. It's not entirely without merit. There are a few good Set pieces and stunt work. But in the end, it's a pretty forgettable 007 "Adventure".

Along with the big and loud explosions, the best two things going for this one are Denise Richard's puppies, once she has gotten her T-Shirt wet that is. Even with this, it's still a Skip. The one thing that most people have gotten right about her role in this one, is that she is without question the worst Bond Babe ever. So boring.

Denise Richards is an enigma. No doubt she is beUtiful, but good Gawd with her acting. Even as campy as Starship Troopers, she is just odd to watch. Wild Things, she should have made it sizzle... She actually, turned down the potential heat with her bad acting.

I remember nothing about this movie.

This came up on TV and I didn't know which flick it was (I'd never seen it before) so I've been watching.  Just got past the weird skiing interlude (what the heck was that?) and now it's the casino.  Not really holding my interest, though I am curious to get a look at Denise in the flick (I also never played/watched that Bond game where Shannon Elizabeth was a Bond girl).

This is actually making me want to give "Carte Blanche" another shot-- I've had my dad's copy forever, I gotta finish the damn thing already.  And I know that I'm supposed to be picturing the young, black-haired and scarred (read: original) Bond in the book, but I can't NOT think of Daniel Craig when I read the name "James Bond."

What's funny is that I just watched this for the first time (hence the review) and already I can't remember a damn thing about it other than Denise being the worst Bond Girl ever.

I kept getting thrown because I was trying to figure out when it came out, I could tell it was old but there was the Millenium Dome and flatpanel TVs and so on.

Of all the Bond Threads, how the hell did THIS become the most popular Bond Thread here?
