Snakes on a Plane is another movie that I'm seeing for the first time, but unlike the more recent flicks I knocking of my 'Movies-to-watch' List, I purposely stayed away from this one. With a title called
'Snakes on a Plane', it's very obvious exactly what kind of movie you are getting. It sounds dumb and it looks stupid. Against my better judgement and the fact that it was sitting on the Library shelf with nothing else grabbing my attention, I decided to finally give this one a go and hoping that the stupidity of the movie would at least dole out something....anything remotely entertaining.
And did it? Um, not so much. I actually found this movie be very boring and the scenes with the snakes were in fact dumb. I've seen worst flicks than this, so it's not out and out horrible, but it does leave a lot to be desired. What's mind boggling is that this movie ever got made with the likes of
Samuel L. Jackson and
Julianna Margulies. I expect movies like this from the
SyFy Channel, not from Hollywood Studios with a bigger budget. I really can't recommend this at all. I'm sure there is a niche to fill for some people and those that enjoy Grade-Z movies like this will probably like it. Me, I should have stuck with my initial instincts and just grabbed a different movie all together.
One last thing, what the F*CK was up with that piece of sh*t music video that was inserted into the closing credits? That was horrible and made absolutely no sense other than the studio wanting to sell the soundtrack. If that was their intent, at least get a credible artist or band with a decent song. Who the f*ck were those guys? I don't care enough to even look it up. Lame.
