I still stand by my feelings regarding the ending, but I will say that I have nothing against the scenes involving Tim Robbins. Not sure what the general perception is for everyone else regarding those scenes are as I've never heard anything negative before. So reading what you posted kinda surprised me that people say that's where the movie "fell apart". Not true. As I pointed out in my original review, the whole sequence with Robbins, Cruise and Fanning is the best thing for me.
